If you decide to auction your car through Automotive Auctions, here are the steps to follow:
Registration: Register your car for the auction via https://www.automotive-auctions.nl/nl/auto-laten-veilen/. Make sure to provide all relevant details, such as make, model, year, mileage, and any damage.
Intake: We schedule a prior consultation over the transfer of the car. Upon intake, we inspect for any damage or other issues. Then our auctioneers conduct a detailed photo session and provide an extensive description for the presentation of the car auction.
Online auction: Once all cars are received, we can proceed with the live car auction. We aim for an online car auction between 50 and 150 lots. After a few days, the auction is 'opened,' and bids can be placed on the cars. For each auction, we organize at least one viewing day at our locations. Here, potential buyers have the opportunity to extensively view the car, inspect it, and start the engine. Test drives are not possible.
Closing the auction: After the viewing day(s), the auction remains open for bidding for a few more days. Once the car auction is closed, we review the highest bids on the participating lots. Together with you, we make the decision the next morning whether the car can be assigned to the highest bidder. So, you always retain control over your own car!
Auction handling: If your car is awarded to the highest bidder, the vehicle will be delivered to the new owner on the pickup day a few days later. Prior to the pickup day, we will discuss with you what is needed to properly transfer the car to the new owner. After payment of the invoice and transfer of the car, the buyer, upon submission of the deregistration certificate, may take the car.
Auctioning your car through Automotive Auctions is a simple, fast, and efficient way to sell your car. With potential for higher proceeds, reliable buyers, and transparency in the bidding process, auctioning your car offers many advantages over traditional selling methods. Follow the steps we have discussed and use the tips for a successful auction. Before you know it, you'll have sold your car with ease!
