The end of the year is in sight and everyone is already preparing themselves for a banging end to 2022. A great time to reflect on the opening of our new premises, looking back on a fantastic first year in Tiel in which we offered a total of 901 lots!
Indeed, on 30 April this year, we proudly opened the doors of Automotive Auctions' third branch. A beautiful showroom where our offer is shown off to its best advantage in a central location in the Netherlands, namely Tiel.
One lot that made Tiels auctioneer Sam's mouth fall open was the Aston Martin V12 Vantage. Sam's personal favourite car of all time. Not just of the cars we auctioned ourselves, but so really his personal favourite. Why? Nothing can compete with a manual 6.0 V12 with the recognisable Aston Martin sound.
With bold letters, the Lamborghini Diablo VT Roadster 5.7 also belongs in this list. A fun fact: this was the very first car to enter the showroom in Tiel. When this car arrived, the paint in the building was not yet dry and the rest of the stock followed only weeks later.
Next to it, the 2021 BMW M4 Competition AC-Schnitzer. As a BMW fan, this one is not to be missed. Half the cylinder count of the Aston Martin and Lamborghini, but due to AC-Schnitzer's tuning, good for a whopping 630hp. I don't think we need to add anything to that.
Without further ado, we forget a lot of special cars. Countless AMGs, M-Sport and Audi RS models and rare specimens such as an E-Type, Donkervoort D8 or a 911 GT3 RS could have just been in this top 3!
