At the end of August, Wietze de Jager, radio DJ of 538, auctioned his 2011 Volvo XC90 live on the radio. He did this during the morning show of radio 538. Wietze hoped to raise as much money as possible for the Run4Schools foundation. They organise a form of after-school care at four primary schools in Cape Town. The children get a nutritious lunch and exercise under the guidance of enthusiastic and qualified coaches.

On Thursday 26 August, the car was auctioned live and purchased by none other than Nino, the owner of Automotive Auctions. The car eventually went under the hammer for €15,111. According to Wietze, that was 'a lot of money' and he 'swindled' the buyers, he says in the video with a wink. But it is for a good cause.

As usual we auction cars, so we will also offer this Volvo XC90. You can find it on our website at the 100% AUTO LIVE AUCTION auction in Boxmeer. We thought it would be fun to link a win to this. Under the video on Instagram and Facebook, you can predict what this Volvo XC90 will fetch during our auction. You will have a chance to win 4 tickets for DAY1 World of Cars 2021 and 2 tickets for Supercar Madness 2022 where you get to drive on the track. Please note! The competition runs from 22 October to 08:00 on 3 November. The Volvo XC90 can also be viewed at our stand during 100% AUTO LIVE in AHOY from 22 to 24 October. Will we see you there?
