An iconic British roadster! Equipped with a 2.6-liter four-cylinder engine and a 3-speed manual transmission with overdrive. This Austin-Healey 100 BN-1 Cabriolet is a left-hand drive (LHD) example from the 1950s, known for its classic British sports car style and timeless elegance.
The car has remained in Sweden since its first admission until it was imported to the Netherlands by the current owner in 2013. The vehicle was on Swedish registration plates until 2018, after which it was registered in the Netherlands. The car has been regularly used for classic car events and in 2016 was taken to Italië to follow the Mille Miglia.
A special feature of this vehicle is that it was never fully restored; only the engine was addressed. The current owner was able to trace one of the first owners, who owned the car in the late 1950s. This former owner indicated that he had driven the car in Stockholm during a snowy period and was involved in an accident in which the left rear end was damaged. The car has since been repainted once, and the repair on the left rear side is still visible. The car has thus not been repainted since the 1950s, giving it an authentic patina and a rich history.
The body parts of the car are originally stamped with the corresponding numbers of the vehicle, both on the hood and on the trunk cover. The white stickers with the number 4 were already present when purchased and have been retained, but can easily be removed by the new owner if desired. The car has extensive historical documentation, with most previous owners recorded.
An absolute “one off” as this Austin Healy is 70 years old and a 100% original! Visit the viewing day for your own judgment.
