Signs of wear/damage and wear and tear all around according to age/mileage.

As a former Cup race car, built at the Ferrari factory, this car has undoubtedly suffered some damage during competitions. However, it is unclear how severe this damage has been. Visually, the car is in neat condition: the sheet metal looks sleek and all parts fit well. Engine starts, gearbox shifts, display works. Visit the viewing day for your own assessment.

In 1999, Ferrari introduced the 360 Modena as the successor to the F355. This new model got a completely new and lighter aluminum chassis and a new V8. Where the F355 was in fact quite an update compared to the previous 348, Maranello came up with a completely new model with the 360 Modena. The addition of 'Modena' in the name was a reference to the Italian town where Enzo Ferrari was born in 1898.

Since 1993, Ferrari has organized the Ferrari Challenge, the one-make cup for owners with an interest in motorsport. This started with the 348, after which the F355 and the 360 also received the Challenge treatment. However, the Ferrari 360 Challenge differs significantly from its predecessor. Where the F355 Challenge was in fact a road car with a conversion kit, the 360 Challenge was delivered from the factory as a serious racer, with about 300 units built in total. It is estimated that there are only about 100 pieces left.

The interior of a 360 Challenge is therefore practically unrecognizable compared to the Modena. Almost all luxuries have been removed to make the car as light as possible. The leather seats, carpet and fine aluminium finish make way for a single OMP racing seat, a roll cage and a fire extinguisher instead of a passenger seat. Soundproofing, airbags, the handbrake, air conditioning and electric windows have also been removed. According to Ferrari, it saves about 110 kilos compared to the street model.

The 3.6 liter V8 remained fairly untouched, with the same ?? titanium connecting rods, dry-sump oil system, and software for fuel injection, drive-by-wire throttle, and variable intake and exhaust valve timing. A lighter exhaust system provides a slight increase in power to 410 hp. Ferrari estimates that these improvements will allow the 360 Challenge to accelerate from 0 to 100 in 3.9 seconds – more than half a second faster than the Modena. To come to a standstill, Brembo offers larger brakes (14 inches at the front, 13 at the rear) and improved brake pads, with a special ABS software system from Bosch.

This car has been driven by a Spanish team in the Spanish Ferrari Copa Shell series. This car has recently arrived in the Netherlands, and has been in a dry shed in southern Spain for years. It is recommended to check the car completely, and a viewing will give you a clearer picture of this special and scarce race car.
